Three times a month, Daisy Gomez and her young daughter drive three hours to visit her husband, Max, who is serving a 15-year prison sentence at a federal penitentiary. This short film by Jennifer Maytorena Taylor, Visiting Day, is a snapshot of the personal and financial tolls that incarceration takes on prisoners' loved ones. It is inspired by the hour-long documentary, Daisy and Max.

Jennifer Maytorena Taylor is an Emmy Award-winning producer who also teaches in the Social Documentation Masters Program and Department of Film and Digital Media at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
